A professional development course for VET sector facilitators who specialise in teaching dairy farm content.
This two-year professional development program was designed for VET facilitators of dairy education, comprising contemporary online and face to face professional learning experiences which was to meet the outcomes of the VET Professional Development Framework, provided by Dairy Australia.
It included a recommended suite of professional learning outcomes, aligned activities and assessments, developed based on a need’s analysis of the target market.
Project objective:
Support the application of new and innovative teaching methodology that enables rich dairy learning experiences which promote the development of student’s capability in line with industry best practice and competency requirements of the VET sector for enabling work ready graduates.
Upskill and maintain technical currency of the knowledge and skills required by VET trainers to effectively deliver quality dairy learning experiences.
To support the development of technically current learning resources used in the delivery of VET sector dairy learning experiences, through interactive learning and assessment activities.
A main focus of this program is to support TAFE teachers with dairy education learning and teaching opportunities with new dairy focused resources and activities:
o empowering with creativity
o supporting with technology and digital literacy

PROJECT OUTCOME
This program was completed on Dairy Australia LMS (Moodle) platform, using Articulate Rise for courses, activities, knowledge checks, interactive engagement. The project is currently in its pilot program in Victoria and is due to complete mid-2022. COVID19 has had some restrictions temporarily applied to the face2face conference.
Current participants are engaged and enjoying the program to date.
